In this day and age of popular yoga, most might wrongly assume that yoga is only for those in the magazines, fit and flexible when it’s exactly the opposite that brought popularity to yoga in the early days of BKS Iyengar. He helped people begin a path of yoga no matter their physical condition, situation or age.


In my own practice, I utilize the knowledge handed down to me to support my own injuries, tame the symptoms of peri-menopause and help me emotionally through distressing events in my life. I know how powerful and effective yoga can be. Yoga can even help avoid those injuries, hurts and pains that you don’t know are in your future. For instance, a good practice can support can support an easeful transition to mid life and onto the later stage of life.
